Pulley Nut Check

It is important to check your front pulley nut. The design is poor and it has been known to loosen, which will cause major issues and result in costly repairs. James Adams put together a video with detailed instructions.

Tools & Supplies

• Torque Wrench
• Sockets (1999-2005 – 36MM, 2006-2014 – 30MM)
• Allen wrenches
• Aluminum anti-seize lubricant (for rollers)
• Red Loctite

Torque on the nut is different

• 1999-2003 – 63 ft lbs
• 2004-2005 – 74 ft lbs
• 2006-20014 – 89 ft lbs
